Milford residents approved an $8.5 million water infrastructure referendum by a vote of 135-21, paving the way for a new water tower, drinking water supply well and treatment facility. The improvements will be funded through water-use and developer impact fees rather than tax or utility-rate increases. The project is intended to support the city’s growth, including the Milford Corporate Center, a 27-lot business park expected to bring about 1,300 jobs to the area.
