State and local officials gathered March 4 to break ground on the new Milford Corporate Center at the former Fry farm at Milford-Harrington Highway and Canterbury Road. The $17 million project will feature 27 commercial lots, with the city aiming to attract businesses and create at least 1,300 high-paying jobs. Plans also include tree-lined streets, sidewalks, a perimeter walking trail, new water infrastructure and a roundabout at Airport and Canterbury roads. Officials say the project, years in the making, represents a major step toward expanding Milford’s economy and creating new opportunities for Delaware residents. A completion date has not yet been announced.
